Description:

Hello, I am selling my very cool looking and good driving 1965 GMC step van. I've had it for several years and had big plans of painting it and doing a cool interior as kind of a mobile workshop. I spent a couple thousand dollars putting all new brakes (literally all new everything for the brakes), starter, battery, alternator, and several other things. Stripped off the old paint and prepared the surface for new (still a little to do there before final paint or wrap, whichever way you decide to go). And I put in a nice vintage Chevy van seat with perfect two tone grey vinyl for the driver. The van looks so cool because the styling was actually designed and first used in 1955 by a company in Hawthorne, CA. It is a full fiberglass body with metal framing. Designed to be lighter weight and to never rust. They put them on several different chassis at the time, this one is on a GMC chassis with the big 292 6 cylinder and manual 4 speed trans. It starts right up, every time. It has cool sliding pocket doors for driver and passenger. (I like driving it around with the doors slid open, kinda like the Jeep guys do the no doors thing) Both sliding doors also have roll up windows in them. And it has a huge, bottom hinged, back door that goes up and down with an electric winch and pulleys, which forms a ramp for loading and unloading, or a platform to work from. I've had several people leave me messages on the step van over the years asking if I'd sell it. I unfortunately lost those notes, but hopefully you'll see it here for sale if you really want it, or otherwise the perfect person will come make it theirs. No big mechanical work needed... ... just make it cosmetically however you'd like it to be, it runs well. No power steering (though you could ad it) so you'll get in great shape, easy to steer at speed though. Oh, yah, and it fits in a normal parking spot. It's the same length as a modern short wheelbase Mercedes Sprinter van, a little wider, more room inside, but the same length. Asking $6,500 or best offer. I'm easy to work with, feel free to call, text, or email. Evan P.S. It really has a cool looking front, I'll pull it out of the parking spot and get some better daytime pictures tomorrow. I just thought I'd get it out there so the right person could find it. All is well, thanks for looking.
