Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. This role is essential in providing accurate pricing for our remodeling projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction or remodeling estimating and will possess strong analytical and communication skills. Responsibilities: • Analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documents to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates using a unit cost estimating system. • Collaborating with architects, engineers, designers, and subcontractors. • Determining key variables for project cost. • Preparing and maintaining a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors. • Visiting project sites to gather information on materials, labor, equipment, and other project-related costs. • Adjusting estimates as needed with project changes. • Assisting in preparing budgeting estimates and final proposal estimates. • Assist with maintaining the company unit cost estimating database. • Present prepared estimates to senior management and the design team, explaining the rationale behind cost predictions. • Creating purchase orders and ordering building materials. • Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and suggest alternatives without compromising quality. • Complying with all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a minimum of [5] years of experience in construction or remodeling estimating . • Strong proficiency with estimating software such as Xactimate or similar. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. • Proficient with Windows operating system and Microsoft Office 365 suite. • Must have a valid driver's license.
