Up for sale are two lightly used 6.5 inch coaxial bass-reflex commercial high-end wide dispersion in-ceiling speakers, designed and manufactured by the Japanese company Toa. These can be hooked up as standard low-impedance speakers (8 ohm or 16 ohm), or on a commercial high voltage system -- selectable via a selector on the front of the speaker. They are rated for a lot of power -- "Continuous program: 180 W (8 Ω), 120 W (16 Ω)" These would be great ceiling mounted center or rear channel speakers for a THX/Dolby surround sound system, or for use as a main set of ceiling mounted speakers for a restaurant or business lobby. They are fully enclosed so they can be mounted simply in any commercial drop-ceiling application, but could also be mounted in a joist space. These have been tested and are working like new. New, the retail list price is $189 each, but they sell at discounters like bhphoto and others for $135 each. The overall size of the speaker (including the metal cabinet) is: Width 280 mm (11-1/32") x Depth 227 mm (8-15/16"), and it weighs 5.1Kg (11.25 pounds).
