Description:

If this truck is still posted, it’s still for sale. Are you looking for an inexpensive first truck for your 16-year-old just in time for Christmas? If you were born in the 70s or 80s this might’ve been your first truck too. I love this little old thing, but i need some cash. It is a 1993 Chevy S-10 Tahoe with clean title. it has the extremely weak and slow 🤣 2.8L V6 and the 5-speed manual transmission with 231,xxx miles on it and climbing since it’s my daily driver. You don’t have to worry about your 16-year-old racing anybody else and getting himself killed, because this thing takes a while to get up to speed! I lovingly call it my two seater beater. air conditioning works very strong, gets about 18 to 19 miles per gallon, it is my daily driver and I drive it about 60 miles a day to work and back. It tops out at about 75 - 80mph, so you don’t have to worry about your kid killing himself trying to do 100 miles an hour. And it can haul trash to the dump like a beast for that weekly chore!! It has had the timing chain replaced in the past 3 years, new A-frames about 4 years ago, new windshield about 2 years ago, new spark plugs and cables just this week, new water pump about 5 months ago, new master and slave cylinder for the clutch about 4 months ago. The exhaust has been rebuilt beneath the exhaust manifold all the way back with the catalytic converter deleted. I change the oil myself every 3000 to 3500 miles and it does not leak any fluids. Replaced the old beat up bench seat with captain seats out of an S10 blazer. It has the blue interior. OEM radio with tape deck still works. I added a spare tire to the bed. Because it is 30+ years old, it doesn’t require an inspection in the state of NC. What kind of problems does it have? There is a small exhaust leak in the exhaust manifold, so you can hear a little bit of an exhaust leak from under the hood. I just dont want you to mistake it for engine knock. it IS NOT the engine knocking. The heater is a little weak, but it’s never bothered me (I tend to think it has something to do with the blower). It could use new shocks if you dont like a little extra bounce when you hit a lump in the road, but it never bothered me. I think it might need a new break switch. I think there is a ground in the lighting system because the right turn signal quit working about 2 years ago, and i just haven’t taken the time to troubleshoot it (if i had to guess, the problem is in the steering column). I lightly rearended someone one time and replaced the hood, front bumper, left fender, and radiator from the same exact year model S10 which i bought for parts as i may want other original parts in the future. So yeah, there’s a donor vehicle (with title) that goes with it for free if you want it. I can trailer it to you for a small fuel/time fee if you are within 50 miles of Sanford, NC. Further than that, and you’ll need to figure out how to get it. Im asking $3000 cash or best offer.
